Is McCain too ill to be elected president?

He may well be according to Alexander Cockburn at CounterPunch who reports that signs indicate and some experts suspect that McCain has had another bout with melanoma.

If he has, then McCain could be judged too ill to run for and to be voted into office unless, of course, the idea of President Sarah Palin strikes one as proper. But, like McCain's 'Smear Obama' strategy and his 'flip-flop for votes' strategy, his possible willingness to run for President while dangerously ill suggests that he is a man who is long on ambition and ego but short on good sense and honor.
